With or without engine? any suggestions

Its in a 92 civic 4 door

Personally I perfer taking the whole engine out. You don't have to deal with working in a confined space then.

just pull it all out and have all the room you need to whatever you want.

I find it easier to just drop the transmission, jack the car up and lower it down at an angle. If its a 5 speed you can just pick it up, its its an automatic you will need to lower it with something because they're heavy.

me and a couple a friends just dropped a tranny a couple of weeks ago. we found it easier just to take out the tranny. fairly easy

It kind of depends. D series motors are so easy to remove/install it's almost funny. If I'm only doing a clutch job, I'll leave the engine in. If I'm doing ANYTHING else along with the clutch job I'll take out the motor.
