90 civic dx how do i go from dpfi to mpfi? minnie me swap help!!! wiring in vtec!! please help!!!!
i have a 1990 civic dx and i am gonna make it vtec i need to know how to transfer my dpfi to mpfi in order to do the swap.... and how will i wire the vtec and what would i need to wire in the p28 computer what harness will i need to buy... i am tryin to do this as cheap as possible i am kinda tighht on cash.. i have the d16z6 head distributor intake manifold vtec sylenoid (however u spell it) so what else will i need and how will i go about this.. please help!!!!
* 88-91 Civic/CRX Si Complete Intake manifold w/Throttlebody and Injectors
* 88-91 Civic/CRX Si Complete Distributor(TD-02U)
* 88-91 Civic/CRX Si Complete Engine Wiring Harness
* 88-91 Civic/CRX Si Injector Resistor Box
* 88-91 Civic/CRX Si PM6 ECU
* 88-91 Civic/CRX Si Throttle Cable
That is for DPFI to MPFI, and for running the Z6 head you will need an ECU off that same engine, OBD0 to OBD1 Jumper harness, the head of course and some wiring knowledge...
Since i am lazy i just bought a VAFC2 to run VTEC with my D15B head on my D15B2 block. =P
Here is the wiring for that.
Red & Orange wire splice/connect to A15 (yellow/black)
Green wire RPM signal splice/connect to B15 (white1)
Pink wire VTEC signal output to VTEC solenoid (green/yellow)
Purple wire VTEC signal input not used on PM6 ecu
Blue wire VTM signal not used on PM6 ecu
Gray wire Throttle signal splice/connect to C7 (red/blue wire)
Yellow wire Pressure signal output cut/connect to C11 ECU side harness
Si/Hf = white1 , DX = orange
White wire Pressure signal input cut/connect to C11 ENGINE side harness
Si/Hf = white1 , DX = orange
Black wire Ground splice/connect to A16 (brown/black wire)Engine side harness
Brown wire Ground splice/connect to A16 (brown/black wire)has to be connected closer to the ECU
Of course you could have found this yourself if you had searched...
