im interested to see the lists of what everyone uses. i built my last motor with nothing but a snap on torque wrench. this time around im looking into things to measure PDH, a cam degree kit, etc, because im gonna do this one the real way and make sure i know all the clearances of what i build.
so show me what you have, since i need some ideas of brands and specific tools etc....

Check out Engine Builder's Handbook. The author shows you what tools he uses and how to use them properly. I have his newer Race Engine Builder book and it had some really good information. Its not Honda specific but the information is universal.
get one of those proform deck/bridge stand and a good dial indicator,
degree kit sounds good..
if budget permits.. an inside mic and outside mic.. + dial bore guage..
wont hurt to double check ur clearances bfor and after ur machinist has finished massaging ur internals

Haha I agree with you. The last motor I built was preceeded by about a year of reading and researching before I even touched any tools. I've also watched the omni DVD countless times, so atleast I have a minor idea of what I'm doing...which is why I'm looking for input on somebod the better tools/versions of tools to pick up, since my new motor needs to be top notch and I have high standards haha
