Default hammered subframe

how many ppl have this happened

i posted in the bay thread and noticed a few ppl have this happen as well

altho i am tucking a little bit, it's because my tires are way too big -gasp- 195/60/15

i am thinking of going 195/50/15 and getting the subframe hammered < (will that cause problems?) it seems a good number do it. i think i'll just have no gap if i go 195/50 and leave height as is

and also is how safe exactly, is having my tires going down like that

the subframe piece i am talking about

what you're looking for is that metal piece back there... i think...
its kinda poking out

gonna smash that **** on friday

I had the same thing happen to me on 195/50/15...I just hammered the lip that sticks out from under the fender & that fixed my problem...You should get that fixed soon otherwise it might take out bigger chunks from the tire

damn on 195/50 as well? you must be way lower then mine then =P how low?

i'll try it out soon, is there a specific way to hammer it? or straight up? i use a 3lb small black sledge shape rubber mallet right?

i see i have more on the left side which is most likely from bumps and a LITTLE bit on the right side which is most likely from turning the wheel all the way right to make turns up things

Yeah, my 99 EM1 was pretty low.
Just bend the lip flush, if you do it straight up it might take longer to do & I just used a regular hammer to do it the outcome did not look good but it did the job

Jack the car up, remove the fenderliner if it's not already destroyed lol,
then you'll see the strip coming down.

I've seen a few people saying they made it flat, and it worked fine.
