Anyone done a motor swap on a Honda Spree?
Just as the topic states, I know tons of Sprees are out there. If you have done so please post pics if possible. I would love to see some modded sprees. I know they are very popular in Hawaii and there are JDM parts available off of the Honda Eve and Nifty 50.

heres my old spree with a swapped motor also, to swap the motor over, you would need a different motor mount and have to re weld the shock mount on the frame

Where do you get the other motor mount from? Another Honda scooter? Also for the stretch, what is involved in doing that? Links would be great

If i'm not mistaken the Spree and Elite motor is the base for a lot of mini-bike race motors. So there is readily available performance parts and stroker kits, even complete race engines for a relatively low price.
found this youtube video. I believe it's a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ye7NzFDNfMc
From a little searching the honda XR50/CR50 seems to be the mini-bikes that share the Dio engine. Check out this complete race engine/trans.

just so no one is misinformed, the xr50/crf50 engine is not the same as a dio engine

Here is a good shot of the engine extension anout 2-3 inches

Check out the custom shock mount courtesy of Joe @ Eastside Muffler

Here is a shot of the SE50 engine mount used for my extension

Swapped the gauge cluster as well which show speed up to 45 MPH. Stock one looked different and only read up to 30 MPH

you see that "tounge" with the rubber mount on it, it belongs in the hole in the frame right where the mount bolts up.
it stops the engine from moving, after awhile you may notice while riding that your engine is pointing straight up

Thanks brotha I just fixed it. Didn't have the motor running yet due to a stuck piston ring but got a few new parts on the way to take care of that. Polini Big bore kit, Daytona max exhaust, AF28 carb, AF28 intake manifold with carbon reeds, Oko variator w/ assorted weights. I think I'm gonna need a racing clutch tho. I'll take pics of the progress.
u can stick with the stock clutch, just change the clutch springs(theres 3 of em) and then the compression spring i would just stick with the stock one, maybe just get a new one if your is worn out
