Default crank shaft pulley issues!!!

ok heres my problem.

i had a D16A6 block built that i pulled out of a 88 CRX Si i put a VTEC head that i built on it and some where in the build process the crank shaft pulley for the timing belt went missing.

in the process of trying to find a new one i found out that there are two different size crank shaft timing belt pulleys for that year D series motor a a bigger size and a smaller size, i need the smaller size and i went to honda and found out that the smaller pulley has been discontinued. i have called every parts place junk yard and dealership i could and no one has the pulley.

does some one out there have the pulley i need im desprate... i put about $3000 into the block to get it balanced bored and all the parts to put it together

any help would would be awesome!!!!

is there a way you could measure it to make sure its for the smaller crank shaft. its the timing belt one not the one that runs the alternator and power steering.

you need the crank gear not pulley. what size is yours or do you know?and what is the difference besides the size? the teeth or the hole

i suppose it couldnt hurt. and yea thats the crank gear you're talkin about. i have a spare a6 block sitting in the garage so since it seems you need the gear, not the pulley. well i have that too. course yours is a 88 block, and mine is a 91, so theres a possibility that mine wouldn't do you any good either.

yeah probably not because i pulled a 91 a6 out of the hatch to put this motor in... this is the 6th motor this car has seen. it had a b16 it had an ls vtec and a couple single cams but this motor has so far been the biggest pain as far as not having the right parts

Wish i could help ya out man but i have no 88 parts. You could always throw a 89-91 crank in it lol
