CRX Cluster in 88 Civic
Im not sure what year the CRX Cluster is but im guessing 90-91, my question is, whats the light blue conector on the back in the middle of the cluster for and does anyone have a pin out so i can wire it up? Thanx!
ill get pics 2marro but the cluster is outta a crx duno tha year no title we scrapt tha car, but its going into my 1988 civic dx, there is no provisions for this conector to wire up to. but its a 5wire light blue conector to the gauge cluster.
if the cluster is from a 90 or 91 you need the plugs for it do you have them? i searched for the little plug and i found nothing

The wires coming out of the blue plug end up connected into the fuses under the dash. What its 4 idk. I can e-mail u the pics of the back of the cluster so u can post it.
basically your wiring harness doesn't have the blue plug in it. thats from 90-91. you can only take the clusters from 88-89 and have it work properly. i have done this before and luckily was able to return the cluster. if you hook it up without the blue plug, only the tach will work i believe. thats how it was for me, no fuel, no temp and no speedo.
you dont even need the blue plug. mine isnt connected to anything and everything works fine. any of the clusters 88-91 will work. some arent plug and play and some are. very few wires have to be swapped to convert from one to the other but it is kinda trial and error to get it right.
Thanx yall 4 tha help. im puting my engine in 2marro so im going to mess wit the cluster 2marro the spedo is cable and i know its a 91 gauge cluster now. im guna test it out soon and let yous kno whats up with it.
