Cheezy, but decided to post this anyway....
Yup, another one of those cheezy, good bye, won't be around much threads. I recently sold my R.
The car will be going to it's new owner soon who will be racing it in Canada. No more details will be said. Won't say price, Won't say who, Won't say exactly when, etc. etc. so please don't ask.
I decided to post this thread because I have been around this site since 2000. That is EIGHT years !!!! Wow !!! Can't believe it. This car allowed me to meet some great people on this website, do some great driving and great racing. Therefore, Expo 8, could have been my last Expo. (Note, if it is close to Texas, still may be able to instruct, we'll see).
But, nonetheless, everything has to come to an end. I will probably troll around here and there and still post once in awhile, but that is about it.
The future.....
Well, the goal is financial independence, Dave Ramsey style. With the selling of the car and other changes, I can hopefully see two houses paid off in under ten years which then allow me to either quit my job and do something I "like" to do or continue working and retire early at the age of 50. (I am 36 now). Allow my wife and I to enjoy the later stages of life, start a family and not be stressed out about money.
Will I be out of the car scene? Oh no. Just going to pick up a cheap NA or NB Miata in cash, put a Hard Dog double diagonal in, race seats, mount up some Bridgestone or whatever is the fast STS type tire and run that car as a daily/autox/HPDE toy. Run the car until either it runs no more or have to trade it for a used family car like a 3 series
Will I race again? Who knows. Hope so. But the next time, probably try and do a joint ownership of a car and do enduros and stuff.

Congrats on the sale Dave! Sorry to hear you leave the R family but it looks like its for the sake of future plans so it sounds like it's for the best. Best of luck with that!
Lots of good times had David! Good to hear you sold the R, although I am always sad to see them go from long time owners. Life and the future is more important! Best of luck and please stick around!

As with every good time in life, good time in an "R" has to an end for some body. But, like every good caRs in life, there are always new owners who are willing to step in to continue that good time. Congrad on your sale of the "R" and congrad to the lucky new owner. Let the good time continue with our beloving Integra TypeRs.

That is a great goal to have.
I hope you don't leave the community all together.
