I'm trying to figure out what brand of piston I have. I bought a car with aftermarket pistons in it. I dropped the oil pan and I don't see any brand thats stamped onto the bottom. But it has the # 22147 stamped on the bottom.
Well gee,let me get my catalogs from every possible piston manufactuer and take a look for you.
How about a clue as to just what motor your talkin about there?B,H,D,K,F?????????

i didnt know i had to be so specific...
I dropped the oil pan, removed the oil pick up, the oil splash shield. And then I used a light to shine up from the bottom of the motor.
hmm... forged aftermarket piston and rods vs stock cast iron piston and rods.
Yeah you right I got jipped.
These people on here and so stupid to changed to forged components.

If you pull the head there might be a number stamped on top...which is where most manufacturers put their serial/part numbers from my experience.
That looks like a job number for a custom piston. Call each major piston manufacturer and ask them if that number fits their numbering system, they will be able to give you specifics for that piston.
I got curious and did a bit of googling. They don't match the design of any SRP, JE, CP, Wiseco, or Aria's piston (or any other that I found) except one.

Ctrl+F for honda (around page 115) Looks like those are a set of older Manley Pistons.
The groove between rings 1 and 2, and the notch at 45 degrees for the wrist pin clip gave it away to me. Also the shape of the pin boss area
