when you say knock it makes me think of a spun rod bearing. it might be time for new engine. the oil leak between your engine and trans is more then likely your rear main oil seal. not an expesive part just a bitch to change out you have to pull the trans and clutch to get to it and if you have a knock in the motor not woth doing

Axles and clutch really don't enter into this at all. The rebuild does to some extent, but its still easily possible that you spun a rod bearing, the rod bolts might have been torqued properly, the assembler might have gotten assembly lube on the wrong side of the bearing, who knows. The rear seal really shouldn't have blown out this early though.

im not saying that my axles or clutch have anything to do with it...just stating that i have poured way to much money into this car in the past month....although when i was trying to drive it home from work yesterday when i would let out the clutch it would vibrate so much it was hard to drive....and the clutch pedal wouldnt come fully out until i hit the gas....a few more things that might help out i guess
