Default Replacement Rear Caliper

Looking for an alternative to buying a REMAN rear caliper for a 98-01 ITR. It must be used from another Honda. I thought the RSX rear calipers worked but the part #'s are different. Has anybody tried a different honda caliper on the ITR?

NSX calipers.

I don't see how you can be against buying a Reman'd unit but for buying a used unit. The logic doesn't make sense to me.

Who sells reman units for the rears? We only offer the rear as a new unit. Only the fronts are reman.

What? Youd rather have a used part from the wrong car over remaned OEM parts? Where is common sense?

Besides where are re-maned rear clappers?

This guy is a little lost.</TD></TR></TABLE>

autozone has reman rear calipers for $100 each. Im looking for a cheaper alternative because im piecing a 5 lug conversion together with new/used parts. I'd like to save some $$ here and get some used calipers off another Honda.

So your upgrading the brakes but trying to save money ??????

How bout running without brakes or just get some used pads, or used fluid or something.

But be sure to take a lot of pics when u crash after a brake failure.

I don't get why you would go that route, either do it properly or leave it alone.

I'm just trying to understand your logic here. Not trying to flame ok.

But you are right, there isn't anything wrong with used calipers if they work.

The problem is, with it being used, it's closer to it's service life and you don't know how close you are to it. I'd rather go the reman units over used in worse case scenario.

Yet you have a nice shiney turbo in your avatar. Assuming that it's yours, how could you drop so much on a turbo yet not have money for more important things like brakes on a car. Are you planning not to stop and just keep going?

Really, I just don't understand.

ya your right, i actually found out the rear 98-1 ITR rear calipers are very very unique and are not found on any other Honda/Acura. So im forced to buy the reman's.

The avatar is just a very small pic i found that relates to hondas. I did have a turbo GSR back in the day that did blow up. so im all done with FI.

In the end your right anyways, new is always better, i always kick myself for buying junk, especially used junk.
