how to adjust spring rates??

Default how to adjust spring rates??

hi im new to honda-tech and was told this was the place to get the answers..so my question is i just bought some konis/gc on my 95 ls..i heard this was a good setup but after installing the ride was really bouncy..i keep hearing noises in the back. i call up koni and they say change the spring rate..my car is only a 2-2.5in drop...can anyone help with some inputs...thanks

you have to buy new rates, but if you got koni yellows you should be able to adjust the rebound dampening so that its not bouncy.

adjusting the dampening is adjusting the top to firm or soft??..sorry if its a stupid question

Yeah. You usually can't adjust how the spring compresses (unless you've got baller shocks), so with a higher end shock, like the Koni Yellows, you adjust the rebound damping of the spring - or how slow/fast the shock allows the spring to decompress.

But adjusting the spring's rate...nah, you can't do it. You have to buy another spring. You can only adjust how the (adjustable) shock influences spring behavior. Rebound tuning is pretty much where it's at.

I have the tried and true Koni Sport/GC combo. 430lb/in springs up front and 375lb/in in the rear, with a 22mm Progress rear sway bar.

it helps, your only other option is lighter spring rates. 300-350F and 250R are common DD rates.

one more thing...when i was driving my buddy told me that my two back strut was going up and down..everytime i hit a small bump..anyone know how to fix that i did the install correctly everything in place
