i bought a socketed a chipped p28 ecu on ebay an i want to buy my own burner so i can burn my own chips the guy i bought it from says i cant do that i have to send it back to him is that true every time i search for a burner i just get programs any help would be great thanks

what burner is it?i dont understand what you are asking here?u looking for a good place for .bins??

 

The seller may be saying that because the ecu isn't socketed. It may merely have a chip soldered direct to the board....unlikely, but I've seen dumber things in the Honda world.

If you want to burn your own chips check ebay for the willem burner, or go to xenocron.com or moates website for a burner. They also have chips you can use, or check forum.pgmfi.org for info.

you can certainly burn your own chips...you just need the software and hardware to do it.

You will need a 28 pin eprom chip programmer & a eprom editing software such as crome to make changes to your binary file.

 

i had a willem burner imo it worked good and all but i wouldnt get it cause its a rare board and for another 60 bucks u can get a burn1 which is a very very good burner, user freindly
easier the a willem burner to learn to use.moates is alo coming out with a new burner called burn2 just like burn1 but the size of a small cell phone.

I use crome and burn1 to transfer the file to the chip. Works great when you are beggining to learn.
