project resurrection my ground up build on my 94' teg
well for the longest time i have wanted to take a peice of crap and build it peice by peice with everything that i want. so i found this car on craigslist the guy wanted $700 i offered him $200 and he took it. i had to pay $70 for title transfer (clean title!!!), and $200 for towing. i will be able to show you just about every step. it will be a slow process. i have to sell my s2000, then take out a personal loan. mean while i will be doing the cleaning and prep work for paint. enjoy! one more thing i don't care at all if people quote a picture here or there, but please don't quote a ton of them all together. thanks

how i found it

nasty interior

engine bay, less work for me. no motor or trans!

my doggy and a picture of the gay molded on bumper

carpet and panels out

rear bumper off

some rust i have to cut out

some more rust i have to cut out

some nasty black spray stuff they had on

all the crap taken off

the hand sanding has begun

look what ups brought me

the beauty inside the box

Wow for a second there, I thought my brother had sold his shell. His is in Texas though, but its in the same shape as your teg. He has a jdm ITR front end just lying around waiting to be put on but he is too damn lazy to work on it. Anyways good luck on your build, I should be starting on mine pretty soon since I just started a new job after 3 weeks of sitting at home with no incoming income.
got the dash out, everything was loose thank god. just had to remove the steering wheel

rust cut out

more rust cut out

my ghetto way of shaping metal

one cut and fitted

another cut and fitted

rusty rear bumper taken off

Good luck with the build. I hope it doesn't have to look that way again afterwards. I've seen nicely modded Tegs turn into what is illustrated on the first pic from theft...be careful with thieves; they are the lowest life form on Earth.

Seeing this on another car, makes me not feel as bad about mine rusting there now. lol
Is it also on the other side behind the driver's seat?

that car has been on craigslist for months now, I think he wanted like 1400 or so for it then every week the price kept going down lol....glad to see its getting a major make over...good luck with it!
yeah the drivers side rust will just need sanded off and painted over thankfully. yeah it's got a clean title thank god. the dog is a husky german shepherd mix. should have some minor updates tonight.
well here is a little bit of an update just been cleaning out the engine bay of the wiring and the interior. here's some odds and ends i've been doing.

this is what the guy had done to the wiper motor wiring

here is my fix, much better

found all the rusty metal parts. took a wire wheel to them and repainted them.

here is one of the parts and the diff.

and for anybody that doesn't have money for a compressor and impact gun you need to get one of these. and cordless impact, makes life much easier.

oh i'm sure i'll be spending a lot. but once i sell my s2k i'll get a good chunk of change back. then i won't have car payments or insurance. i'm still living at home. i will just have to drive the crappy pick up truck in the mean time. i have decided not to add up the totals, just buy what i need.
well a little bit more of an update. still stripping parts off and cleaning. pretty much everything is off. i thought i would share this sweet mod. and the attention to detail this thing is going to get. i had removed all of my brake lines for the engine bay painting. and i had decided i hated the yellowish white clips everywhere on the lines. so here is a easy way to change any white plastic to whatever color you want. i just went with simple black.

get your parts and clean them the best you can

buy some rit dye whatever color you want, you can finding at any grocery store in the cleaning isle

pour in some water into a junk pot that you don't care about. bring it to a simmer and add your dye. let it mix for a sec. and add your parts. just check them ever so often until you get the color you want. and please be very careful this stuff is called DYE for a reason!!!!

and here is what you are left with. much better IMO
