project resurrection my ground up build on my 94' teg
well for the longest time i have wanted to take a peice of crap and build it peice by peice with everything that i want. so i found this car on craigslist the guy wanted $700 i offered him $200 and he took it. i had to pay $70 for title transfer (clean title!!!), and $200 for towing. i will be able to show you just about every step. it will be a slow process. i have to sell my s2000, then take out a personal loan. mean while i will be doing the cleaning and prep work for paint. enjoy! one more thing i don't care at all if people quote a picture here or there, but please don't quote a ton of them all together. thanks

Wow for a second there, I thought my brother had sold his shell. His is in Texas though, but its in the same shape as your teg. He has a jdm ITR front end just lying around waiting to be put on but he is too damn lazy to work on it. Anyways good luck on your build, I should be starting on mine pretty soon since I just started a new job after 3 weeks of sitting at home with no incoming income. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif |

Good luck with the build. I hope it doesn't have to look that way again afterwards. I've seen nicely modded Tegs turn into what is illustrated on the first pic from theft...be careful with thieves; they are the lowest life form on Earth.

Re: (jdmdc2boi12)
well here is a little bit of an update just been cleaning out the engine bay of the wiring and the interior. here's some odds and ends i've been doing.
http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...0ac36dd2e6.jpg this is what the guy had done to the wiper motor wiring http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...ec6a0217fc.jpg here is my fix, much better http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...63f2d0e8fa.jpg found all the rusty metal parts. took a wire wheel to them and repainted them. http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...8f68b84e6f.jpg here is one of the parts and the diff. http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...472af9791e.jpg and for anybody that doesn't have money for a compressor and impact gun you need to get one of these. and cordless impact, makes life much easier. |
Re: (VTECROAR96typeR)
oh i'm sure i'll be spending a lot. but once i sell my s2k i'll get a good chunk of change back. then i won't have car payments or insurance. i'm still living at home. i will just have to drive the crappy pick up truck in the mean time. i have decided not to add up the totals, just buy what i need.
|
Re: (danthemang3)
take advantage while you stay at home im pretty sure living on ur own would mess up or slowdown the build http://is.rely.net/1-92-30008-l-au16...EFX98SjN8A.gif
|
Re: (VTECROAR96typeR)
I'm guessing that rust was in the trunk area? My integra has that https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif I can see the ground... never realized until I went to use my spare one day. Lol.

Re: (Teggys1ClnDA)
well a little bit more of an update. still stripping parts off and cleaning. pretty much everything is off. i thought i would share this sweet mod. and the attention to detail this thing is going to get. i had removed all of my brake lines for the engine bay painting. and i had decided i hated the yellowish white clips everywhere on the lines. so here is a easy way to change any white plastic to whatever color you want. i just went with simple black.
http://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...f1f0c74541.jpg get your parts and clean them the best you can http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...76a03642a2.jpg buy some rit dye whatever color you want, you can finding at any grocery store in the cleaning isle http://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...53629acc01.jpg pour in some water into a junk pot that you don't care about. bring it to a simmer and add your dye. let it mix for a sec. and add your parts. just check them ever so often until you get the color you want. and please be very careful this stuff is called DYE for a reason!!!! http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...6b46fdcbc8.jpg and here is what you are left with. much better IMO |
Re: (danthemang3)
Looks real good so far keep the updates coming https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
