Default Is it worth it?

I bought a 94 Honda Accord with 240K miles. I plan on having the little body marks fixed and the whole car painted by my dad. Is it worth putting a new engine in? Would a full exhaust system sound crappy with an automatic?

Why not? Used engine with 30K miles is only $500-700. Paint job and body work's free. Labor's free.

Really? How expensive would it be for a conversion? Yea I know, my dad's been a bodyman since he was 18 and he's got friends all over who can give him free paint, or paint it for me for free. Thanks

EDIT: I googled and only found a few topics about it and it didn't help me out that great. I'm still going to search, some said it's very easy apart from the wiring and the backup brakes turning on when in reverse. And someone said that the accord already has the clutch pedal hole?

You realize you're in the Accord only section on Honda-Tech? I think majority of people are going to say that it's worth it if you feel it's worth it.

As to exhaust, you realize the transmission has very little to nothing to do with the sound right?

Motor swap threads are in the Accord FAQ..... as are probably every other question you are thinking of.

Because he doesn't like the high mileage I'm guessing. I have the same amount of miles on mines and it's still going strong. When it craps out I'll put in an H22.

If I realized the transmission had little to do with the sound I wouldn't have asked.

I'm doing motorswap because of the mileage. Even though it's got more life.

EDIT: NVM about the conversion. Costs couple grand.

Just buffed and waxed it last night. Took 3 hours to get every nook and cranny on the vehicle. Just bought new tires and hubcaps lol. Taking moldings off tonight to sand and paint them. Any little marks on the car is getting touched up once I get the paint mixed from my shop.

Coming soon after Christmas: New engine, blacked out or clear lights all around, windows tinted, low profile rims, some suspension. Getting this bitch lowered.

Once again, would an EX engine fit my LX? I've looked everywhere and found that some people say it doesn't matter..just want your opinions. Thanks!

Also, how would I go on about resetting my odometer when I get a new engine? I read that you can buy a new cluster but that was for a bmw so I'm not sure it it'll work on my accord.
