Default Clutch problem!!!!

Hey guys, here is what happend....I pushed the clutch down when I started the car, but the clutch pedal never came back up.

The car was on a lift when I started it. I pulled the pedal back up and pumped it a few times. I then got a a little bit of pressure but not much at all.

I then went to the engine bay and looked at the assembly. the black clutch rod would not go all the way down to the clutches hydrolic assemply. What should I do, look for a new clutch or bleed it and hope for the best?

Oh here are the vitals:

1992 hatch with a B16A2, and a YSI cable tranny.
hassport conversion kit
clutch is an ACT hytbrid street disk with an extreme pressure plate.

thanks for the help!!!

Check your master clutch cylinder. I loss pressure in mine and yes you need to add fluid and bleed, but also replaced my master clutch cylinder. Check under your dash at the fire wall. You'll see the rod that goes in when you push in your clutch. My fluid was leaking out from there .

Replaced part for $40 (my special price) retail around $90 I think. Then like Spade said above.

Just to let everyone know that didn't read the whole post I have a cable tranny with a Hasport hydro to cable conversion kit on it. So yes it is a hydrolic assemply, but it has a cable tranny in it.

I did try to bleed it and nothing diffrent happend, a little bit of pressure, but the clutch basically still goes to the floor. any ideas?

I have a speedbleeder valve on mine, works great.

92-95 clutch master cylinders have an EXTREMELY bad habit of going bad. I suspect the flexible line between the master and the reservoir contaminates the fluid. ANYBODY else ever notice how dirty your clutch fluid gets and how fast?
