I know thread back from the grave, but I was just reading my type s manual and it says to not drive with a spare in the front very long in a type-s because it is bad for the LSD. What the heck?

The Honda Integra Type-R, sold in Japan, Australia, and some other markets, has reduced weight, a 220 PS / 164 kW / 217 hp (162 kW) K20A engine (Japan-only; Oceania models have an engine similar to the Acura RSX-S), as well as a limited slip differential (LSD) and stiffer springs and shocks, 4 piston Brembo brakes, 17" wheels on Bridgestone Potenza tires, Recaro suede seats, body trim, and more. The IIHS did not rate the RSX.

What year manual and on what page?
Regardless, there isn't a LSD in there. However, it is good practice to put the spare on a FWD car on the rear of the car. Much less weight back there and it won't have to worry about traction for acceleration, braking and turning.

I'm sure that's what Honda is telling you to do.

You are correct, braking/ control are the main reasons the manual states that.

Check it out guys! 03 manual, page 262. I am not saying mine has one just because it says it, must have been a missprint.
