tranny problems

Default tranny problems

I just bought a 92-95 civic ex tranny and i put it on my y8. And it will not go into 3rd or 4th. Was i jes sold a messed up tranny or did i mess up on the install plz help me.

did you put fluid in,

Did you open it up

Check the linkage, the dude might have sold you a tranny with a bent shift fork

yes i put fluid in it. i did not open up the gear box because i do not know much about the gears and stuff. I used my old linkage and my old shift fork and throw out bearing.

That would be your clutch release for that you reused. The shift forks are inside the transmission.

oh sorry, I did not know would I be able to use my old y8 shift forks to replace the bent ones? also when i shift into 3rd and 4th it does not feel like anything or like it doesnt feel like there is anything there? sorry if that doesnt make sense but thats the best way i can explain it.
