spark plugs?
sometimes when im driving it feels like the gas just gets cut off then comes right back on, i could be giving it 25% throttle and it just feels like it dies and comes right back so my car jerks, if im not around 3grand itll do that, but if im there it wont, could it be a fuel filter problem or is it that i just need to get a tune up? i got a new dizzy and new dizzy wires, but the spark plugs stayed the same, could it also be that, talk to me people i cant let my baby die, i drive a b18a1 rs 1990

Start off with the spark plugs, fuel filter, and inspect your main relay. If your engine is near stock and you have not messed around with too many of the intake components, then the TPS sensor would be one of the last places you would want to check.

I recommend denso iridiums for 50 bucks online, or ngk iridiums, or nology spark plugs with the wires. I heard the nology wires work great with honda engines. Also, don't spend money on those new pulstar spark plugs. My brother put in on his 350z and it's the same deal as the denso iridums except the price.

There's nothing wrong with iridium plugs, but on a 1990 DA, I would keep throwing in standard v power NGK copper plugs. Changing them out every 15k - 20k miles is a good habit to start as it can tell you certain things that are going on in your engine that aren't so apparent from the outside. 8 or 9 bucks will get you a full set of 4.

TPS will be on the throttle body itself. Its riveted onto the t-body, which makes it really complicated to adjust. Judging by your general knowledge of automobiles, I would strongly advise you not to try adjusting it.
The main relay is under the dash, around the driver side kick panel area.
Now real quick, when you say your car feels like it cuts off and dies, does the speedometer annd tach still continue to accelerate or do they drop to their starting points as if the ignition was turned off.?

I actually dyno'ed out better with standard NGK copper plugs than with either Denso or NGK iridium plugs in both the ITR I had and a B16A setup I later had. Also, I'm convinced that aftermarket plug wires are complete snake oil. Every time I see someone claim a benefit from them, it's on a setup that had original (or at least very old) plug wires and where anything fresh would have provided the same essential benefit. I'm a big fan of the philosophy that Honda knew what they were doing when they designed these motors, and that they knew what they were doing when they chose their components.

Waste of money at this point. It might do you no good.
As far as your timing is concerned - did you re-check your timing after replacing your distributor? Once you remove and replace a distributor, you do need to check ignition timing to be sure its at correct spec .

I would try maybe even cleaning your throttle body or making sure your throttle cable is adjusted properly.
Judging by this post, you really haven't ran through the possible trouble spots on your car, nor have you done much research. I would search on this site for people who had similar problems. Its just really difficult to diagnose a problem we cant see or hear for ourselves.
