Ho much money to fix this?
Ok, i was just wondering how much it would cost to fix this? damage to the rear quarter panel
Year: 2001
Miles: 89k
Title: Salvage
Cost: $8,000
Sounds like a good deal?
Also how much do you pay for insurance? just looking to buy one way, car will be under my fathers insurance with good history
How much do you think it would cost if i got my own insurance? one way. I'm 20 and had a light accident when i was 16.
Mods: Amuse replica front lip, rear lower tie bar, red emblems, front strut bar, k&n drop in filter, yellow ek fogs, clear front headlamps, clear side markers, apexi dual exhaust, aftermarket shift ****,clarion headunit. I would say all these mod cost at least over 1grand
This will be my third car if i decide to purchase it. I had an 00' Prelude then sold it for the new 08' Altima Coupe. But i miss the V-Tec, so i want a play around car. Always wanted an s2k...

take it to a body shop. we don't have xray vision to see if it has any subframe or frame damage. and do yourself a favor...get rid of the fog lights and lip, they be ugly.
8000 is pretty cheap... but I don't know if it is worth the trouble. Best to just continue saving for a non salvage s2000 if you can't afford it for now!

Yea, i looked around and s2000s arnt cheap. the closest one i found was a 01 with 69k for 11gs. another i found was an 00' with 130k for 10gs and thats kinda going beyond my limits.
10g's beyond your limits? uh oh, i wouldnt be looking into s2000's then
and about the insurance, that accident should be off your record if it happen when you were 16,they are erased after 3 years. im 22 and pay $250 a month full coverage with allstate

im 23 bought my car at 22 with clean record with state farm, its $250 a month what they call full coverage but got into a battle recently when they tried to use salvaged parts for my car
find another company.

Ok a lot of things dont add up here:
You want to buy an S... it costs 8K but its damaged and has a salvage title... so its gonna cost money to fix it and you dont know "everything" that is wrong with this car...
Youre 20 years old and this will be your 3rd car...
im assuming that you can afford the car at 8K but you cant afford a car that doesnt have a salvaged title at 10-11K??? doesnt make sense... id just wait and save a little more and get something with no headaches and a clean title...

Can you open the hood and take a few good pics of radiator support, and all metal that you can see inside?
You can easily tell that front bumper is not aligned well. Doesn't seem like the job was done well.
Back can be fixed for under $1200 (I have lots of friends who do body work). But any 'normal/american' repair shop will charge you around $2000 - $2300 for that.
It is kind of hard fix, because the shape of the 'frame' for the taillight is involved. There is a chance that light will not fit as original, although wouldn't be too noticeable. Light itself might be chipped on the outside and cracked on the inside.
just my 2c.

BTW.
there are two ways to fix it.
Leave this q-panel and just work with it, or replace the whole panel.
Work-wise price would be almost the same (maybe $200 difference) but then you have to pay for a panel.
Also, 8k is way to much for it.
i'm finishing fixing a 2004 with 28k miles, and it will cost me 11k (including registration/taxes etc)
$5000 is what i wouldn't go over for the car in the pictures.
