Default header fitment

On my 95 gsr I bought a dc 4-1 header it from a type r thought and I was not thinking when buying that the deck height would be different. I got it to fit but there is maybe half of an inch of space between the oil pan and header. Would it be safe to use it still or would it get theoil to hot? and would heat wrapping it help?

A GSR and Type R block/head is the exact same height so the oil pan clearance is the same on both engines. If you were to bolt that header on the b16a block, it has a shorter deck height and will hang lower.

If the b18c1/5 is the same height then it should be normal having it that close to the oil pan? because its a tight fit
