Might sound really lame but make sure you have the wires to the correct plugs and in the right spot on the distributor.
I just spent 4 days trying to figure out what was wrong with my car and finally I found out it was the wires and firing order.

okay so i tried to start it today again.. i put in my new spark plugs and new cap and rotor.. checked the thermometer ground and it was good and tight. i found out that i wasn't getting gas through the injectors because i spit some gas into the throttle body and it wanted to start but didn't have gas.
do you think i need new injectors or my ecu doesn't work? i was also gonna try to put in starter fluid and try to go from there but iono if this will solve my problem of not getting fuel through to the throttle body.

im getting spark and im getting gas just not getting it into the throttle thru the injectors... plugs for the injectors have power also don't know why.. already changed the fuel pump and has a new filter too. i thought i has clogged injector but no chance that all 4 would be that clogged. iono im outta ideas here about to give in to the problem. last time trying here and im gonna take off the injectors and fuelrail to check.
my hatch had the same issue but it weird if u have spark dat means its fine if timing is correct dnt touch it do dis spray carb cleaar in the intake and if it starts its ur fuel filter if not check for gas u 100percent sure

Ok you give way horrible advice.
Check your wiring harness, if its converted.
See if you getting power to the injectors.

if following the theory that your injectors are plugged up, take a little bit of seafoam in a cup, and run it through a vacuum line while you have some one turn it over. don't put too much, just a little bit to try and clean out your injectors. and dont use a vacuum line connected to any sensors.
following the theory that your wiring is messed up, get a haynes manual (for the motor that you swapped in). they have complete fuel injection wiring diagrams and make sure you got them right, and in the right order. one criss crossed wire can spell disaster.
if its not spark or fuel, the only thing left is air. if this is the problem, your probably not getting enough air into the combustion chamber for the fuel to ignite. check your intake mani and your intake tube itself for blockage. also check your air filter.
if all else fails, bring it to a tuning shop. they will be able to fix it
