home depot lip.. lemme explain..
alright... I've seen alot of home depot lips and they're jus not my thing where it's rivited to the front of the bumper...
but I found a pic and a write up of this guy with a blue subaru sumthin with a home depot lip and it looks baller...
he used garage door bottom seal... it's not quite as massive as the garden trim stuff... and you bolt in on from the bottom...
my question is do you think it would look alright underneath my lip? cause I tore mine up and Im gonna buy another one I jus want sumthing to keep the new on from getting ruined...
unless you guys have a better idea?
I have a type r style lip and I think I might be getting a mugen style one... I just dont want to ruin it... I've only had mine about 6 months... hasnt even seen snow yet. lol
I'd post pictures but I dunno how...
[edit] it's on jdmuniverse.com if you're curious what Im talking about... go there and go to search put in home depot lip and scroll down until you see "how to make a lip for $10" and it has exatly what Im talking about... I think it looks good.

The Suby doesn't look bad at all.
$10 for the trim. Probably going to be another $10 for all the mounting screws/rivets that it is going to take. Looks like it may take a screw/rivet every 2-3" to keep it flush with the bumper/lip. You can see in the one pic of the Suby that he uses 5 rivets within 1 foot of trim.
It will take some time and planning to make it fit properly. I think that it would look even better if you were able to polish it up or al least put some silicon spray on it to give it a bit of depth. It looks too dull strait out of the bag.
Good luck

I will simply ask: What is the advantage, or is there an advantage between the garage door lip and the garden trim lip variety?
If you're going to go ghetto, might as well go with the better ghetto...
This is supposed to make aerodynamics better by reducing the undercar drad by channeling air around the car instead of under, correct? It would seem that a shorter lip would be less effective at this yet look better possibly? (form vs. function)
Has anyone seen actual increases in milage/topspeed or other factors that could be measured after doing this mod?
sohc

I've got some of that trim on my garage door. It's pretty heavy duty stuff. If you took your time and did a nice job of it, I think it could look good. if you half *** it, it'll look like you tacked some crap onto your car.
google images has a ton of pics

With that little of a lip? No.
Even if there was, you'd have to be going pretty fast to take advantage of it.
I do think it looks pretty good on that impreza. Looks like something they might have done from the factory. I personally wouldn't try it, but hey, hard to argue with a 10 dollar lip.
