I'll be there this Sunday. Look for my white 90 Civic HB. It's a HUGE field, so be prepared for a long day. I'll be parked with TEAM MODAMAX. See you there! Overkll

I might come out just to say hi, and compare notes with Overkll about hybrid EF's.

I went last year (I'm going to WOR on the 28th, in Dayton), when it was in Toledo.

The field was huge (300+ cars according to one of the organizers), but it was very well organized. Lots of fun.

BTW Hybridizer: your swap also puts you in SM.

Hope you guys have fun.

The course was amazing. The biggest fastest one I've run they left many of the turns wide at the start to give you more chioces.....or some say spots for mistakes to take corners. I was in love with the course. Finally got to try the azenis out and was amazed. Now my hold back was not staying in the seat. So seat and harness are already ordered. The course was great I took 7th out of 20 in SM. 275 total cars were there. I missed trophy by one spot but 6th had me by a second. It was a is300 turbocharged. SM had some solid competition from "pure tuning" from ohio. NEver head of them but had some great cars! Overall had a blast and wish I had more auto X like that on the west side of the state. Didn't really meet anyone there not sure any honda-tech members were there. Also got to watch a huge field of sts.

Now all I need is a swap and some larger brakes to fully be on par with some of the top guns in SM.

Were you the HB that was right to the right of me on grid. Two race seats, looked like larger than stock brakes?? I'm sorry didn't even know you posted on here or I would ahve said something. The focus from you team seemed to be amazing what is his setup? I saw the victoracers. . I was pretty quite as my first run I blew so I pretty much just zoned out and focused on the course while in grid.

How did you do?

Yes, that was me. The focus has Progress springs, Tokico's, I/E and some crazy a$$ driver. The black focus was also from Modamax. The victoracers are just unfair. I run 3 Kumho 711's (one 712, don't ask , they just can't even compete. I took 11th on the day. I'll be sorting out my car (and driving) at Gingerman on Thursday.

I really think my car is quite capable with a set of Victoracers and more seat time. I'm running stock rear sway and no front. I need higher spring rates or sway bars since I have WAYYY to much roll.

But it was only my 5th event and I haven't had any schoolin' yet.

Nice times for you though Are you going to Midland on Sunday? Later, Overkll

BTW, did you see the million $$$$ type R? 235hp at the front wheels. Buddy almost ALWAYS wins. I would hope so, since his rims and tires probably cost about as much as our COMPLETE cars. Nice car though, too bad he trailor queen'ed it up here. Later, Overkll

That was my 2nd event. I agree on the victoracers it's either get them or hoosiers or face the fact you can't compete. SM is a pretty damn open class anyway. I think I need a rear sway bar. That was my first time with the falken tires, a actual street tire more than victoracers.

I liked your car. I never went over to the type R never had the urge I could see the JRSC and the seats but just wasen't curiuos I was to pissed off at my first run time. I completly forgot everythign in my walk throughs. No I won't be a midland it's rare for me to get toe Detriot area events except for the big ones. Auburn hills ones I'm told are a blast!

Yeah the modamax silverish focus I figuerd had a crazy mojo driver with his times. I was happy my second run look up and see he again turned like 1.5 or more faster than me I was impressed!!! I think you guys had your pits right next to us as well I was with a white mr2 and a yellow s2000 running hoosiers and a red miata. I feel like a dumbass for not saying anything.

yeah I saw that had a chuckle at the tow vehicle. A full size econo ford van. Looked loaded, one would think you could camp out of it.

That was you?!! With the flapping numbers!?!? HAHAHA!! I remember!!!

Okay.. I was the one Red Civic Si in STX class. The one with the touring wing. My best run was 51.774. I THINK... I THINK I would have gotten low 50.XXX or maybe even 49.XXX if I hadn't in my LAST run gotten my rear end loose cuase I was drifting for about 1.5-2 seconds. I had to countersteer and it FUCKED up my entire run cuase when I countersteered, it threw my WHOLE racing line off and I had to make some HORRIBLE turns out of line. Ended up with a 52.XXX so I'm confident that if I didn't spin, it would have been much better.

Say hi next time.

Sorry to break it to you, but a Talon didn't take first place. Look here: www.detroit-scca.org At least not in SM he didn't. You're from aacarclub, right? I just got back from Gingerman with those guys. Autocross will never be the same as a road course. Later, Overkll

Sorry, he borrowed the Talon for the day and won. That's pretty sweet!

Thanks. The Falkens are good tires though. I still run my Kumho 711's (not 712's). I should at least step up to the Falkens. I ran pretty shitty, I really need some sway bars (I took off my front with my old setup with an LSD) and stock rear. I wish my car was more stock, since I have a hard time getting things setup with only 3 runs. Time for some autocross school Later, Overkll

BWHAHAHAH!!!

Sorry to break it to you, but Otto Suksumake, DID WIN FIRST, and HE WAS DRIVING THE TALON. That "68 TRIUMPH" is a MISPRINT!!! Otto never drove a 68 triumph. I don't know where the heck they got that from?!!

The Talon belongs to his buddy Mac Crosset that come in 3rd place in SM, he let Otto Suksumake borrow it too, they were co-driving it and Otto won first in the TALON, as for the 68 Triumph.. I have no idea where that came from.

I'm 100% sure, I was there, I saw Otto get in, and out of the car. I also saw Otto get covered in a overflowed PORTAPOTTY!!! But don't tell him I told you. But yes, Otto did win first and he WAS driving a Talon, and if you don't believe me, I'll give you Otto's number and you can call him and ask him.

.... 68 Triumph?? What the heck?

I've also already sent a email to http://www.detroit-scca.com about the mistake and they said they would fix it.
