Default a little help please...

well i have a 91 civic hatch and the last 2 days me and friends pulled out the D15 motor and dropped in a B18B1 into it.

now it starts and runs fine but once you try to rev./drive it, it will get to about 3-3.5k RPM's and it will cut out/bog down. The ECU is throwing 2 codes....4 and 9.

The ECU will constantly keep throwing 9 for about 2 minutes then after 2 mins it will start throwing the 4, once it throws the 4 it starts to do the cut out/bog down thing, but the 1st 2 minutes without it throwing a 4 i can rev/drive it to redline with no problem.

we have checked everything we could think of, when we used our 1st dizzy it would do this the second you started the car, so we replaced the dizzy but now it will happen about 2 minutes after it is running with the new dizzy.

any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks.

sounds like limp mode or something. What does code 4 and 9 stand for or w/e not everyone knows CEL's. im guessing it has something to do wwith your ignitiion control module?

oh yeah my bad i probably should have said what the codes meant lol

4= CKP Sensor (Crankshaft Position Sensor)

9= CYP Sensor (Cylinder)

every once in a while it wont throw code 9, but after 2 minutes it will still throw 4.

we have looked over the wiring numerous times and it was all done right.

EDIT: went outside this morning started her up and now it cuts out/bogs down right away...it isnt throw code 9 anymore just code 4 constantly...

well we were about to re-wire the car to run a different dizzy but we decided to try out some ECU's, we pulled out the integra Ls ECU and put in a B16 ECU and now she runs good

thats really strange. sounds like it was misfireing or something. are you just going to stick with the b16 ecu? did you check your timing? thats the onlything i can think of to throw those codes. your timing being off and possibly ignition control module. unless the ecu is just fried...
