I was reading through the threads and u all seem like some pretty down to earth kats.

Im new at the EJ1 thing, I just purchased a 94 EJ1 Coupe Shell, I swapped the bottom end and tranny of a d16y8 on the car, im just waiting on some head...Wink..Y8 Head of course, accepting other head....

Anyways, The guy i bought it from completely took off the moldings and im not sure whether he bondo'd or used scrap metal to take away the molding area but the car looks hideous without the moldings. Anyway, WOuld anyone know how i'd go about removing it if it was bondo?

And let's say it was done with metal, is there a way to take that off and maybe weld the oem area i get from another ej1 quarter panel?

Im primarily concerned about the quarter panels, i can easily replace the front fenders and the door shells if i need to, thanks in advance, please let me know.

Pop off the door panel from the inside and you should be able to peek at what they did. Go from there.

 

yeah, check on the backside, if there is bondo poking through the holes, then they filled it with bondo. you can easily remove bondo with an angle grinder and a wire wheel attachment.
