Removing small dents from gas tank?
I have a couple tiny dents in the side of my gas tank, anyone ever had any of these removed? They are really small, so small they are hard to notice. Now that I know they are there I see them every time I get on my bike.
Below is a rant that explains where the dents came from:
The people who shop at Target are f'ing ridiculous and can't figure out how to put carts in cart corrals. I park my bike outside Target (Where I work), and people keep pushing carts around it. Apparently someone hit my bike hard enough with a cart to dent my gas tank. I'll tell ya, these people better never let me catch them hitting my bike with their damn carts, because I'll throw the cart right through their windshield. Alright, maybe that's a bit overboard, but I will find a way to ruin their day.

Actually, I'm a maintenance tech, and I make pretty damn good money. Also, I go to school full time, so in about 5 years when I finally finish school I will have a better job.

What do you mean park elsewhere? I park in the parking lot.
From these two posts, it sounds like apart from buying a new tank, I'm SOL?

i work for a PDR co. and i can tell you IF you get a guy to attempt pressing them out... it will not be cost effective over picking up a new tank off ebay or something similar. i would probly just but grip pads on the side. what color is your bike ?

My bike is electric blue (2006 SV650 blue).
Well, the dents are not bad enough to spend the money replacing the tank. If the tank pads cover it, I'll just pick up some of those. I'm sure I'll drop it eventually anyway, and I'll just replace the tank then.
Thanks for the advice.

Employees can park where they want. I bet they have rules about parking in the back, but most who work retail park up front. Leaving it on the store sidewalk is a better place. Parking it inside is a fire hazard, so he can't do that.
I work retail myself and occasionally like to ride to work. I park out of the way and we have a "lot guard", plus all our cart pushers know to keep carts off it. I might look there first.......
What does a maintenance tech do? Don't tell me you clean the floors at night? Something with the cash registers? They don't take care of equipment at a store they run it 'till it breaks and then call fir repair.
