Default painting my jdm thin sidmoldings... HOW?

i just got some jdm thin side moldings and wanted to paint them, but they are really textured... does that mean if i want to have them painted, that i would have to sand them down hella to make it smooth? or will the paint stick to it with some epoxy primer? thanks guys!

If they are raw plastic, use guidelines to prep/paint the parts correctly. You can leave the texture and paint over it, the texture will be visible in the color/surface. You could sand the surface and apply a quality 2K high build primer, then cure - sand - paint. Raw plastic tends to tear when sanded with coarse grit, you'll be better off priming instead of trying to completely sand out the texture.
