Default OBD2a into 2b, I'm confused.

Ok I've looked at the FAQs, but I am rather confused. I've already done an obd2a into my EJ1 flawlessly. I now have another Civic, 99 EX. Here in SC, these J/y are scarce with obd2b b18b's, and I've found some decent obd2a(96-99) b18b's.

I'm in a conflict. I will be turboing within the next 3-4months. But in the meantime, I want my car to be close to stock as far as electrical and wiring goes>>retaining obd2b.

So all in all, I will be ordering a obd2a b18b, what are my best options in retaining obd2b? Order an obd2b engine harness from a J/y and hope there is one available?? Any other changes other than an obd2b ECU?

We don't have any inspection here in SC, but I love my environment and want to keep it/my build clean as possible, lol! Unless I'm going to have to convert to obd1 for EMS purposes.

Help me out please!!!

you put any OBD motor in any OBD car as long as you keep your stock motor harness

you gonna need obd2 to obd1 jumper harness so you can tune it http://rywire.com and obd1 ecu

i totally understand that concept. but, i can get good deals on a obd2a b18b, could i just get a 96-99(obd2a) teg motor and use a 99-01 obd2b(civic/integra) engine harness on it?? or are there a few plugs that are incompatible?
Basically, if i do order the obd2a engine, should i try and grab an obd2b engine harness and use on the obd2a engine, or the plugs are different??? and eventually i WILL get and obd2b to obd1 conversion harness for tuning.

Calm down bud! Geez. Trust, obd2 swaps are more confusing than the obd1. Thanks for the input. I will be returning to this post once I begin the install.
