Default I have a quick question.

I need a new clutch for my Del sol. I have a B18b1 swap. I know What I need to order. My question is what clutch (brand and type) should I look into. I have turbo plans, but looks like its going to be awhile. I originally wanted a ACT sprung 6-puck and a lightened flywheel. But as a combo Im looking at $750. Just wondering if anyone could give me another good reputable clutch. thanks. BTW. Its not a DD but I want the reliability and drivability of one. Thanks again.

Ya, I thought about it. And it seems like a lot of people have problems with them. I actually just read a topic on one before I posted this.

I have a sprung custom made Bully clutch (kevlar with ceramic buttons) paired with a fidanza aluminum flywheel and I love it.

The combo wasn't too expensive but in reality, price shouldn't matter as much as getting good quality.

For turbo I would suggest stage 2 or 3 clutch though.

Here are the websites:

an exedy organic clutch with matching flywheel will do just fine for a B18B1.

had it in my hatch few years back.

since you said you wont be boosting in awhile, you should look into it.

no necessary reason to get a 6 puck or what not.

Ya I thought why spend the money now. But then again I also thought I'd be spending more money when I do turbo my sol. Im estamating next winter i'll be starting on the setup. This winter is the body! But my clutch went out the day I went and bought a new vehicle. A 99 F150. I miss my gas milage! HA HA

you dont use the Sol for anything do you?

just a DD?

if so, i'd recommend the exedy organic clutch, and resurface the flywheel.

Well.... Ya its my DD, but i dont let it touch snow/salt. Once turboed, I will race it (DRAG). Its my treasure. My first car I bought 100% by myself. I mean its no corvette, viper, or Stang. But i plan on 350-450 hp in the future, which will satisfy my needs untill i get use to it! HA HA HA

yeah, so like i said, an exedy organic clutch and resurfaced flywheel will be fine.

then get whatever you need in the future when you decide to go turbo.
