i have a 99 civic ex i broke my o2 awhile back and just replaced it my cel is on with a code po 135 o2 sensor heater circuit bank 1 sensor 1 how can i bypass ie fix i failed emissions and need help

 

help me please someone ive searched for hours and driven illegally just to use the internet

 

try disconnecting the battery for a minute then connecting it. This will clear the code.

Right, the ECU doesn't know the problem is fixed until you reset it. I practically guarantee this is the issue.

 

i have a reader that clears it and ive done it a **** ton of times i broke the sensor so theres a short some where help

LOL wut? Please explain. You stated you replaceced the 02 sensor.

Just reset the ecu. Here's how:

pull that fuse and reinstall it. You will lose your presets on your radio.

 

ok it broke awhile ago and i just replaced it my old one got bashed by somthing and its telling me the a heater circuit problem is there a way to jump it for the ecu

It's going to come back on no matter what. Just fix it!

 

Did you replace it with a craptermaket brand or OEM? Check your fuses and make sure they are all good, under the dash too. Then take the top off your ECU and smell it, had a o2 heater code for almost a year before i narrowed it down to the bad ECU. Welding exhaust with the battery connected it not a good idea....

 

Also there is a TSB for the main harness that runs underneatht the intake manifold, over time the harness rubs against the manifold bracket and will cause the o2 wires to short out. Fuse 15 will be blow under the dash and the ECU smell like "burnt" if it is bad. Correction: Remove intake manifold bracket(can be a pain in the 4ss) and fix any frayed wires. Check the ecu. If all is replaced and well, reset the ECU and pray......pray.
