are buddy club III+'s much better than CTR cams?
I am thinking about upgrading my cams and I was wondering if the buddy club III+ cams are going to be worth swapping in. i have searched and i have come up with mixed results on weather bc3's are much better than the ctr's that i have in now. this is my setup-
B20 vtec
B20 block with balanced botom end, Rs machine 84.5mm pistons, arp rod bolts and head studs
B16a2 head with ctr cams itr valve springs sk2pro manifold and all bolt-ons 97+ prelude injectors, adj fpr and tuned on chrom pro
would like to get a ittle more power out of it and i am going to a hytec replica header. i am trying to decide on cams and was wondering if for my setup if the bc3's would make enough power over ctr's to make it worth the cost of switching them. also considering sk2 stg2 or brian crower stg2 what do you guys think? stay with the ctr's or swap them out? this is a daily driver and dont want any thing super agressive but these all sound good.

you will make hp, but not like 15-20 whp more, perhaps 5-6 more peak than TUNED ctr cams, but i have noticed that HP falls off quicker usually.

I think the truth lies somewhere inbetween those numbers. More than 5, less than 20.
Realisticaly depending on your setup you will see maybe 10 whp. More with higher compression, less with lower.

actually that is quite possible. all depends on supporting mods
I upgraded ported my cyl head and added s2s2 cams vS stock b16 head and TUNED CTR cams- went from 200 whp to 228 so i can beleive BC3s might add 10 with good flow tuning and supporting mods

so you think the s2stg2 cams would be better? what do you guys sugest for my next steps to make power?
stick to the specIII+'s they're alittle bit better then ctr's and with your mods will server your purpose well. Alot of midrange in those cams.
CR of motor? and you will need to upgrade your valvetrain.

the rs pistons put it at about 11.7:1 might be a bit higher because i have had the head milled a few times and the block was reserfaced once. i heard that supertech work well for the valve springs and since it is a DD i should use my stock retainers correct?

skunk2 stage 2's, skunk2 pro 1's.. they make good power. RM M22x Is also a good choice. But if you don't want anything too aggressive for daily driving BC3+ are nice. They like mid-range the most.
