del sol b16b swap questions
Ok so here's the deal im not new to engine swaps of done many engine swaps before but never any cross-obd swaps. I have a 93 del sol si and i recently picked up a b16b with tranny, axles, wiring harness, ecm, radiator hoses, throttle cable, everything i need for the swap, ( except for mounts and shift linkage because they dont swap over from the ek chassis to the del sol ) here's my problem, wiring, im trying to but an obd2 engine into a obd1 car, which should be fine becuase i have the whole harness and ecm, but where the wiring harness for obd2 connects to the harness that runs all the guages and intirior bits, it is 1 connector where as the del sol's harness has 3, does any one sell some sort of conversion harness to split the obd2 harness so it plugs in to the obd1? ( not at the ecm, on the left side under the hood where the engine harness plugs into the vehical harness and runs through the firewall to the cabin) any input would be greatly appreciated.
I wouldn't use the b16b harness, it's set up for the ecu to be on the driver side, it will require a lot of modification to work on your del sol.
Use the stock del sol harness and an ecu jumper harness. that way there will be less wiring modification, if any. The only problem you may run in to with using the b16b ecu is that the ctr has 2 o2 sensors and your del sol only has 1, so it will probably have a check engine light on.
If I were doing this swap in a del Sol (which I've done twice already), I would chip the p28 ecu that's already in the car and forget about changing over to obd2 completely. If you do it this way, you'll need to get a vtec solenoid with a pressure switch on it (94-97 del sol vtec, 94-01 gsr).

obd1 harness swap out the plugs that dont match, chipped p28 disable vtec pressure switch use 1 wire vtec and bam there you go i just did my 00 jdm b16b into my 92 hatch reuse your del sol harness trade your ecu for a p28,p61 or p72 chipped
