Lots o' smoke!
so i got the z6 with the 15g. been running it for years. stock motor, 7lbs.
i slowly leak/burn oil. it smokes near redline. the motor has 200k on it.
lately i noticed an exhaust leak by the manifold. its LOUD. so when i hit the throttle from under the hood, it pours smoke from what looks like off the manifold and possible from the dipstick tube. so either i got a new oil leak or the smoke is coming from the exhaust.
light throttle causes smoke, ive never seen it come out the muffler, could the turbo make it clear?
also whats the compression supposed to be with a cold dry test?
can you have good compression and bad pistion/oil rings?bad

I don't know about compression numbers. But oil smoke coming out of the dipstick tube usually means bad rings. Try taking a compression test, then put a cap full of oil in the cylinders and take another compression test. If the oil in the cylinders makes the compression go up a significant amount then that means bad rings.
thats a big difference, you coudl have cracked ringlands. you need to do a leakdown test on it. then post your results. this would way we would be able to help you more.
