what are you looking for looks? speed?
personally i would start with an intake then maybe some shocks and springs and maybe some rims after that.
then loose the k20a3 and step up to a k20a2 or z1 lol jk
whats your goal with the car?
boost? all motor?

There is a thread in the FAQ that details this question.

i agree with the I/H/E, after that if your staying all motor, cams are a great mod for the k-series, not too expensive, just make sure you get a good brand. Brain Crower>Skunk 2

I added ultimate because these cars aren't cheap to buy or mod so you should have that in mind with every purchase.

Is this going to last me or am I going to want an upgrade later?
Should I really buy this RBC IM/BCRH if I'm thinking about supercharging/boosting eventually?
Will a reflash be enough or should I wait and get kpro?

etc

What do you want out of it? Just a quick DD? Weekend warrior? Frequent track events?

In all honesty, I/H/E is a waste of money on our k20a3's, keep you car engine stock until you get the money for a swap or plan on doing a rebuild, you can spend 1500 easy for all of 20 hp, or spend 3000 and get 150 hp, If I was you, I would get a nice set of coilovers with pillow mounts, front and rear sways, if your cheap just get a rear, and a nice set of wheels and tires, megan racing has a replacement mid-pipe for the exhaust that is dirt cheap and great mod since the axle-back on our cars is amazingly non-restrictive, and then I would run a test pipe until emissions came, and you can make your own intake for 50 bucks if you want, but don't waste your money on name brand stuff when your just going to throw it away when you want real power, but your suspension will always be there and you can still be competitive in auto-x with a well thought suspension and no engine mods, just my .02
