Default help with ecu.. please.

i have a p13-jo1.i pretty sure it's jdm. it is obd 1 but has 4 plugs. and with the big bold 4w on this side i'm assuming its for the 4 wheel steering. ok can i use this for my h22a and if so what do i have to do to make it run right.

the only 4 plug OBD1 ECUs i'm aware of are JDM Automatic units.

thats really all i know about it, but heres a link to ff-squad http://technet.ff-squad.com/wiring.obd1.htm, compare to the second ECU in the first pic, if it matches its a JDM automatic OBD1 ECU. Thats about all I can tell you. Katman might know more though.

yeah thats it... in that case the idling would change i know but why does it run like ****? it has now where near the power it had and it almost acts like its pulling in and out, like its trying to get more power... i didn't even stay in it long enough to see if the v-tec kicked in or what the rev limiter was set at.. any ideas? and how could i talk to that guy you mentioned?

When you say it doesn't have the power it did before... did you have another ECU in and then switch to this one? you can try PMing katman, he's on H-T.

yeah i have a p0a-a01 in the hatch now. it works fine. really good actually. the only problem is the rev limiter is kickin in a 6200 rpm's... which is restricting the the amount of fun i could be having with this built h22a..

i'm low on money or i would already have an ecu for it... my buddy has a ecu with hondata that had my hatch pulling to 11,000 with no problem. and i have to atmit its the fastes thing i've ever been in. but now i have a 6200 rpm ecu and no money to get the hondata he has.. i was hoping this ecu would work but its giving me problems(the p0a-a01)

Hondata is wasted money, dont even stress over it, you dont need it.
you just need a chipped computer and a trip to a dyno tuner. all that will cost half what a hoedata system will cost you. think think it was fast with an untuned computer w/ built motor... no!
dont ever rev to 11k again. ever!
you really need to read up on some things, your about to destroy your motor and learn the hard way.
