I know this may be a common problem. I'm new to the forums and nothing came up on searches :[ Manual windows do not roll up along the railing. Would this be an easy fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

take off your door panels, and put your window back on the rails. someone popped your window to get into your car, messing up the allignment with the rail.

Incorrect.

No one needs to try to break in in order for the glass to do this.

'96-'00 Civics commonly suffer from the window glass slipping or popping off of the tracks.

The regulator bends, which causes the glass to jump out. The regulator usually needs to be replaced for everything to be right again. The problem usually starts with the windows being difficult to roll up and down because of a lack of lubrication. When they're just difficult to roll up and down you can solve the problem by lubing the tracks with silicone spray.

The OP needs to remove his/her inner door panel and force the glass back into the run channels (aka "tracks"). It's easiest to do this with the assistance of another person who can hold the glass if needed.
