Another stolen ITR - Chicago area
I haven't been on here in years, but I remember so many thefts being posted. At least once a week. I never would have thought it was going to happen to me... not in the midwest... not in broad daylight, right out in plain sight at my office... and I thought the ITR was getting kinda old for this behaviour
. A quick look over the forum and it appears it's still a problem. Suck!
Last time I saw my car was Monday (Sept 15) at 8:00am and realized it was missing from the parking lot at 5:15 that night. My company is small, but there's usually enough people coming and going (or out smoking) that I wouldn't think someone would be ballsy enough to do this. Plus our parking lot is fenced in with one exit.
Since I had the car paid off 3-4 years ago I chose not to carry comprehensive insurance. So that sucks, too. I'm getting nothing. I also lost 2 mountain bikes that were in the car.
So yeah, I just thought I'd make it "official" by posting here. Sorry to bum you guys out. Let me know if anything turns up.

Sorry to hear man. ITR theft is still high, probably higher than the past. Thieves are getting ballsier than ever, stealing from garages and such.

Damn, another one down.
I don't go to a cruise-ins any more. If I happen to see a ratty-*** Cibic with a B18C5 and an ITR trans without a VIN tag, I'm afraid I'll go beserk.

It will stop when they're gone.
It will stop when Hasport stops making motor mounts for swaps. And other companies stop making conversion kits for swaps, axels, tranny's etc.
Suck about your caR. Always sad to see one go.

It is/was #287.
Definitely should have kept the full coverage on the car. I can't imagine that the money I saved on the liability-only insurance equated to the value of the car. Maybe in fifty years. It was a costly gamble.

i could understand dropping collision on a car , but not dropping comprehensive (covers theft, acts of god etc)
