Default b20/vtec ?'s

Okay so this is a ongoing project that i had for awhile. i need to know..what head bolts do i use to torch down the head onto the block? i looked at arp..its not in my budget unless its a must. the block is a b20z2 and the head is off a 95 gsr.

choices are:
b20 head bolts?
or
b18c1 head bolts?

and

clearance on the valves and pistons? yes i've done many searches..maybe just haven't landed on the right one but im doing a gsr head(stock) onto a b20z2 block(stock).

and

which crv/vtec conversion kit would be best for the bucks? i've heard of blox? but couldn't find the link. i might get a GE kit.

any help appreciated.

so if it was a GSR head being used on a b16a block, you'd use GSR head bolts?

Only if you use 10 oem 3 layer headgaskets...

But in this case, I think the GSR length headbolts would work best...

GSR head on LS/b20 block = gsr studs/arp studs

B16 head on ls/b20 block = arp studs only

If I'm wrong someone please correct me but this is what I remember from ordering my studs.

arp head studs for sure and get the arp rod bolts as well just to be safe...stock rod bolts don't hold up
