Default 97 civic with h23 engine motor swap?

Hey guys, a friend of mine has a friend with a 97 civic ex that has a messed up trans. They know someone with an h23 w/trans out of a prelude. They were wondering if the engine drops in...if not what modifications need be made? Most of the swaps are b series, h22, and i believe even a k20. I think the h22 is tough and i think someone said the trans was tough to hook up or something like that...i'm probably talking out of my *** right now. I tend to stick with my accords but any help on this topic is well appreciated. Idk much on civics so thanks.

Do a search on here for one. If you can't find one, then look for info on the H22A swap. The only difference between the 2 swaps will be a little wiring (mostly VTEC).

yeah it should be the exact same swap as the h22 except for wiring and ecu plus the h23/22 transmission is a cable shift trany where as the civics are shift linkage.
