H22a rebuild questions.
I am about to start helping my friend rebuild his H22a in his 5th gen. He blew the rings out of it. Going to hone out the block. put new pistion rings. Rod bearings, Crank bearings and timing belt and such. My question is. Could i order all this stuff for a 94 prelude h22? or which whould i need to use?
no, i mean it in all honesty. there are very few shops that have properly honed frm liners, so I hope you have found one of the few and are not planning on heading down to the local machine shop.
edit: oem, acl, or clevite bearings should do the trick

Sorry Boss,
Flex hones and or ball hones are not going to work on a Fiber Reinforced Metal sleeve (aka FRM). You cannot properly hone an H22 with an everyday run of the mill a flex hone. You need to use a rigid hone.
This isn't your grand pappies 350 small block. Get it done properly at a machine shop that has the proper tooling.
