I swapped to a D16z6, and just kept my D15b7 IM on there. I have CEL 14, Idea Air Control Valve. I replaced the unit, and reset the ECU and still had the code. I was told that the D16z6 had to have a "T" fitting for the coolant lines from the IAC, under the TB, and the block. I connected them like this... line from the head into the "T". Line from the IAC into the "T". Line from the TB into the "T". This didnt fix my problem tho.

I have a d16z6 IAC (I dont even know why i got this one, considering that I have a D15b7 IM) It should work the same tho right?

I think the line under the TB goes into the IAC. But idk where the line on the right goes to.

You would have better luck just buying a Z6 Manifold the b7 is Restrictive or Buy a Skunk 2 off ebay.

Yeah, its the same. Why are you using the D15B7 intake though? Its quite a bit more restrictive than the D16Z6 manifold.

 

I got just the D16z6 block and head, i'm new to Civics. I had an Accord but i totaled it

I the metal tube on the right of the pic, goes up and joins the tube from the valve cover to the air intake. Does anyone know where the line goes from there? I see that it goes behind the TB and intake, but thats all i can find

 

it connects to a nipple on the metal water pipe that runs along the back of the block from the thermostat housing to the water pump.
