Default Opinions on "Skunk2" Exhaust System

My poor 91 CR-X Si has a hole in her muffler and I'm looking to get a new exhaust. I really want something that doesn't really make a ton of noise but looks nice.

I was looking at this system right here: http://www.modacar.com/product....html

But I want to see if anyone has an opinion as to what I should get. The whole car is pretty much stock except it's lowered on lowering springs and shocks and it's got some white rims. I'm not exactly trying to show off my car when I'm driving around either, as I dislike trying to attract the attention of everyone.

If anyone has owned this exhaust system before, do you know how loud it is?

(Oh, and before anyone yells at me for choosing Skunk2, I've really had no problems with their things before)

your in california, do you have to stay with your cat and resonator?

the reason i ask is i just redid my exhaust and i think its pretty quiet

i went with a magnaflow and replaced my cat and resonator with a cherry bomb

I have the Skunk2 catback on my CRX. I have a B16 with the stock cat, and its rediculously LOUD without the silencer. I've never heard it on a stock engine though.

Fit and finish on the skunk2 was excellent. It is really loud without the silencer and especially if you don't have the cat.....

I have the same motor and exhaust as ^^ and without the can plug it is deafening to anyone behind me when Im in vtec, especially in 4th or 5th gear.....

But I like it, its stainless, and its the right size for my boost project, and when Im cruising on part throttle, it is quiet. The resonator does its job nicely.

But its God awful loud on WOT

Thanks for the replies guys.

@91_ef_hatch - Yeah, I've looked at GReddy, but being a college student my budget can really only go so far.. I think I'll keep looking for some other kind of exhaust though.. Ryan from RYWIRE told me to look into getting the GReddy MX exhaust system...

I definitely am going to be deciding between the HKS Sport and the GReddy MX now, I watched a couple of youtube videos of the skunk2 and holy crap they're loud.

EDIT: The exhaust labeled here as 1988-1991 Civic Si, those will fit on my 91 si CRX?

Yes it will fit, but you may have to cut the mid pipe....the civic is longer than crx.

I had that exhaust on my crx for about a year, but it wasn't loud enough so I swapped it for a Spec II
