Default 91 Accord EX coupe Auto have a few questions/problems

Ok I have searched but came up with nothing, I am looking at a 91 EX coupe Auto, decent price, but has a few minor issues. 1st being that the little picture of the car on the gauge cluster in the lower right, all the lights are on(doors, trunk, brake light) also on the cluster the sport mode light doesn't come on at all. is this a computer issue or body control module?(does this car have one?) 2nd Power door locks don't work?(maybe tied into the car thinking they are open?) 3rd the auto seatbelts don't retract(well they are stuck in the driving position) not a big deal but annoying to have to undo two belts to get out. other than that car is awesome. sorry for long first post but any help would be great. Thank You.

I had this problem, but only with the brake lamp light being on when there was no brake light out. It turns out that there was a ground wire not properly connected to the body of the car. I have a 91 accord lx. Your problem sounds like you have a serious short somewhere. Have you checked all the fuses? The ones in the engine compartment and under the dash. I assume you have. Check all ground wires leading to the body in the engine compartment to make sure all connections are good. If there is corrosion on any of the wires, replace the wire. Especially make sure your ground wire on the battery is good and not corroded. If it is then replace it. If all fuses and relays are good and all grounds are good, then you are going to have to take it to a Honda dealership to have them diagnose the problem. If you're lucky, Honda found something defective when it came to wiring in particular vehicles and sent a free fix. Happens all the time. More than likely though, it's not a good ground. You will have to search the car for all the grounds, they're everywhere. Under the dash, in the engine compartment, in the trunk, etc.

Thanks man, I hadn't thought about a grounding issue, but that would make perfect sense, I haven't bought the car yet, I was wanting to see if it was a cheap fix for the issue(maybe get it a little cheaper ) right now its between this accord and a 97 integra sedan.
