i think there is something wrong with my R. need help fast!!!!!!!!!
i went to the drag stirp tonight for my second time ever. i had 5 runs all within 15.972 to 15.657and my best reaction time was .837. i dont know whats worng i didnt miss a gear or anything. the only thing was that i had bad launches, but that really couldnt hurt me that bad could it? i mean i see guys on here with stock R's running mid 14's. i have aem cold air intake and apexi dunk cat-back. help me please guys. thanks
maybe you should learn to drive it better. Do a compression test on your motor to see if it still holding up well. You should be in the 14's for sure. Maybe you need a new clutch. What year is your car? how are you tires? What tires do u have?

A 2.6x 60' will put you in the 15's. Ask me how I know
Work on your launches. On a standing start on a road course

Your 60ft time is killing you...you should be closer to a 2.2 second 60 foot time. I think that the tires that you have don't have the best of contact patch for drag racing. I have some Toyo FZ4 tires and they are absolutely horrible...having trouble with straightling traction in stock form, never mind driving around corners. What is the elevation of the drag stip, temperature of the air, any humidity?
Thanks,
Austin

the drag strip is in south florida so i think the elevation is like 0 an the humidity is high and the temp was prob around 85 to 90. the only thing was that theonly time i was their before i saw 2 98 R's run 14.89 and the other did 14.76 and they where both bone stock. oh ya an the first time i wasat the track i ran 16.04
check elevation as well.
i was pulling 15.1 consistantly at island dragstrip.
i suspect elevation playing a role in the times.

My first drag run ever was a 15.5 at the track. I'm at 14.3 now and have 2.3 60fts. I think shift points have a lot to do with times as well as the 60ft. Check yours out for the 330 and the 1/8th.
Also do a compression test as the others said.
