I didn't see anywhere we were talking about street use - I was just responding to the generalization that slotted rotors are for 'stunnas'...

touche...back on topic my preference is for blanks, the cost and lack of performance increase from slotted/drilled rotors is not my preference
A lot of people who are doing HPDE/time trials use blank rotors. Why? Price. If you are using a "track type" brake pad, chances are you are going though rotors fairly often. Also, some race organizations, like EMRA, don't let you run with cross drilled or slotted rotors.

Autozone rotors are really that good? I need a set of rotors for my daily beater 93 hatch and I was going to go with the brembos. I might go autozone if they are cheaper and keep from warping just as well.
i dont think its that they're that good per se, but as cheap as they are, you can afford to keep a fairly new set on the ride. or at least thats how i look at it.

You damn ricer alex, you got about 5 differnent colors on your car and you wanna get xdrilled and or slotted rotors. Come one mannnn. I already told you, i honestly dont think the slotted rotors are worth it. For the amount at which they cost and the very minimal gain you get, is just not worth it. thats just my .02 cents
Alex, its all preference. Dont let anybody decide for you. I will talk to my sources this afternoon and will call you when we can get the slotted rotors for you.
Blanks, S, or CS, let me know.

Wait a second.....so you're telling me that the best brakes(on a mass-produced car) in the biz....cough**Porsche**cough.....are simply for the bling effect? Am I missing something?

did it occur to you that even porsche could put something on their cars for looks
Porsches 'looks' rotors are damn cast with the holes, therefore they are not just drilled rotors. rotors cast with slots/holes are worlds better than the usual "blanks with drill press modifications"
