Default FS or FT: 1984 Mazda RX7 - $3700 OBO (Farmington, CT)

1984 Mazda RX-7 13b 4 port engine and 5 speed transmission. The engine is a turbo2 engine with NA rotors, half-bridge ported. the car was originally a 12a engine car, the 13b was put in using a 13b racing beat front motor mount for a direct bolt in. The oil pan was resealed and a racing beat oil pan baffle has also been installed at the same time. It has a dellorto 48mm sidedraft carburetor, with a racing beat 90degree elbow mounted to a turbo2 lower intake manifold, pacesetter header, a midpipe with silencer and a 1993 rx7 catback all this is custom fitted to this car. The car also has a new radiator, new Optima Redtop battery installed in the bin, FC oil cooler, the clutch and slave cylinders have been recently replaced, the factory rubber clutch line has been replaced with a stainless steel encapsulated one. There has been a recent tune up done, including, new spark plugs, spark plug wires, coolant flush, tranny flush, new radioator cap.

With the exhaust that it has its not loud, or annoying, though its not as quiet either, i am gonna try to make a video of the idle and if you would like to see it email me about it or you are welcome to come see the car in person.

The coolant gauge doesn't work very well, it stays on the cold side, the gas gauge is not very reliable either, sometimes its full sometimes it shows half tank when its full. The car drives and cruises fine, and has been very reliable, the carb needs to be tuned to get the car 100%, i think there is more power to be had, i am not savvy with carburetors so i haven't touched it. Because the engine is a turbo2 engine and is using a turbo 2 lower intake manifold, which is quite tall, the carb hits the hood, so i raised the hood latch some, to clear the carb, you can see this in the pictures, this also helps keep the under hood temperatures lower, having a longer intake manifold also makes the engine have more low end torque, which in this car is very good. if you would like to have the hood close all the way, a smaller lower intake manifold needs to be installed.

The car is very clean, and is in overall great shape, especially for the year!

i will also consider trades preferably for an EK civic as i need a daily driver.
