ITR b18C5 swap question....
hey guys this is probably pretty basic stuff but im wanting to do an itr swap into my 94 ls teg. im just wondering what kind of problems i can be looking forward too? is the biggest thing just switching from obd1 to obd2? or are there any other major changes i should keep in mind? any help is greatly appreciated guys im just trying to find a somewhat easy swap thatll put me around the 180-220 hp range. i dont want to mess with lsvtec right now and i want a little more than just the gsr swap. any suggestions?

Why would you want to switch 'from obd1 to obd2'? OBD2 is harder to tune than OBD1. If you mean switching from non-vtec to vtec, then you should get a vtec wiring harness for the vtec motor so you don't have to do any cutting and splicing. Also, it would be nice to have an ITR gauge cluster to match.
Are you getting an ITR tranny also?

Everything is plug and play. Your engine harness will need some modification. (vtec, knock sensor) As far as ECU I would just stick to obd1 like a P28 and have it tuned on crome.

with tuning, stay with the OBD1 ECU.
(keep in mind there are no ITR maps from honda so anything you get should be driven on very conservatively till you can get it tuned.)
Everything else should be nearly plug and play.
Provided you get the engine harness with the engine.
BTW, stock ITR swap will put you in the 180whp range. Anything more than that you'll need some additional work/parts.
Why not pickup a GSR swap, drop in a thinner geadgasket, some aggressive cams, single runner intake and some serious tuning...
You'll likely have power for cheaper.
