Does anybody know why my air would take a while to kick in sometimes? The green light doesnt light up sometimes till i start going then itll turn on with the air. And Sometimes the green light will start flashing idk it that means anything. I have an 98 accord lx

 

Sounds like the compressor is slowly going bad. Replace it quickly as the longer you wait the more damage can occur. You don't want black death to spread throughout your system. Make sure you replace your receiver/dryer as well.

 

The green light flashing is an electrical issue in the buttons, the light does not indicate that the compressor is on or off. It only means that you have turned it on.

 

How much does that usually cost? is there a way to know for sure without replacing it? Whats black death in reference too?

 

Either your switch is goin or gone bare wire bad ground or just plain out loosing your pump.. which is the most likely. Compressor goes out and they run two and a half hundred usually try a junk yard their cheaper and then you gotta recharge make sure you replace every seal on the lines and usually you gotta swap out the condenser and it will run primo. (MACS AC certified)
